Famous Film Director’s Painting “Restaurant Jean” in Retromagination Etsy Shop!

Stop by and take a look at the titled oil painting John’s Restaurant (Restaurant Jean) by famous English film director Roy Ward Baker.  Roy’s quirky career covered sci-fi, westerns, drama, and Hammer horror. He worked with Alfred Hitchcock, Marilyn Monroe, Bette Davis, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and many more. He also worked on tv shows such as The Avengers, The Persuaders, and Minder. Born in London, he went to school in Rouen, France.

The oil painting is of a lovely framed French street scene and there is even an antique 8 day clock inserted into the picture!
